Meet the Staff

Mark Willis is the pastor at Merriam Christian Church. Mark and his family have lived in the Kansas City area for ten years and come to Merriam Christian Church after serving churches in Gardner, KS, Kearney, MO, and Independence, MO. Mark's wife Jacque is a software engineer and their daughter, Abigayle is in high school. Mark and his family enjoy bike riding, sand volleyball, and family vacations.

Emily Bartlett is the church secretary at Merriam Christian Church. She handles all of the administrative duties for the congregation, and is the first person you meet when you come into or call the church. Emily is married to Ben, a Shawnee Mission North High School teacher. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Speech/Communication from Emporia State University, and an Associate's Degree in Massage Therapy from Heritage College.

Emily Yeh is the organist and choir accompanist. Emily has a Masters of Music in Music Performance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Masters of Art in Religious Studies from Central Baptist Theological Seminary.

Chris Ammerman is the church sexton. Often people don't see Chris doing his work behind the scenes, sweeping up, emptying trash, cleaning bathrooms, etc, but we always appreciate his effort and how he readies the building for whatever comes next.

Sarah Stolz is the Nursery Attendant. Sarah provides a loving, caring, safe environment for your baby or toddler during services on Sunday mornings. Sarah has been with MCC for two years.
